On Seeing So Many Crickets Dead

Cricket legs scattered along the concrete,
A sidewalk in later years
When concrete ruled and asphalt reigned.

That was way before naturaltook its native place
And roads led to somewhere.

The crickets don’t show now,
Burned before landing
Or eaten.
